Hello all,
I've been adapting to xPAP therapy, and I do feel the benefits. However, last night I suddenly woke up around 2:20am and felt very alert/hot. I couldn't fall asleep for about 30mins eventhough I was confortable and laid very still. I was using the Swift FX at the time, then decided to switch to my FFM at about 3am just to reset and try to trick myself to fall asleep. I was able fall asleep in about 30 mins. Below is a chart of what I think triggered me to wake up because my breathing after the event didn't match my normal sleep breathing. The machine flagged a RERA about 5 mins after this part of the chart. Can anyone help me understand why this happened, would more pressure help, or is this normal?
Woke up at this point in the flow graph:

I wouldn't do anything about a single "event" "happening" "occurrence" other than scratch my head and think the aliens paid me a visit last night. There's nothing in the software reports that tells us why this happened or gives any indication as to what can be done to prevent it from happening again.
It could easily have been just an awakening during a dream or whatever.
It's normal to have a handful of arousals and even mini awakenings anyway.
I may have to RISE but I refuse to SHINE.

Seconding what pugsy is saying.
Things happen. And sometimes we wake up at night. For an isolated event on an isolated night, there's no reason to start thinking you have to "do something."
As for the RERA that was scored about 5 minutes after this potential "arousal", were you already awake when it was scored? Or do you think you woke up after the RERA?? If you were awake, then the RERA is just miscored wake breathing. If the RERA occurred before you woke up, the wake may have been in response to the RERA. But, as pugsy said, there's no point in thinking you have to do something for a random, stray event.
