Portable power Supply for S9 ResMed machine

Post by Magicdave » Thu Jan 23, 2014 3:06 pm

Since I travel quite often with my S9 machine, I was interested to see that Resmed have recently started selling a small 30w power supply. Not powerful enough to power the humidifier that I normally use, but this isn't a problem since that usually stays at home anyway.

I decided to buy this small power supply, but was disappointed to see that the mains plug is actually built in to the main body of the unit. This means that the overall distance that can be achieved between wall socket and machine is less than half when using a standard power supply (where the mains plug is attached to the unit with a long cable).

For anyone who has stays in hotel rooms that don't supply mains sockets near the bed, an extension lead would have to be carried in addition to the power supply. Not really much of an advantage
