I am engineer and deal with statistics all the time in process control.
Totally confused by what you are saying.
In detailing a problem it is useful to use listing devices such as "bullets," numbers or letters.
Example
1. My 95 percentile (which is different than percent) is X.
2. My mean (average is) Y.
3. My etc.
Much easier to follow.
When reporting on an engineering problem this type of listing of technical points help comprehension and also helps the writer to break his or her thoughts into discreet points and better sort them out.
