Drooling with full face mask?

Post by NJsharon » Thu Jan 16, 2014 5:49 pm

I have a full face mask & seems no matter what humidity setting I have it on, I seem to drool a lot! Then it is gross as I will turn over & it plops onto my mouth, or I feel it rubbing & trying to leak out of the mask. Bleuch!

I wasn't aware I drooled without the cpap, or at least very minimally. So why am I drooling so much now & any suggestions to minimize it?!!

You might try a chin strap to keep your mouth closed

You can cut a piece of a panty liner and stick this on the bottom of the mask. Just don't tell any of the men about this.

My hubby uses a couple of Kleenex folded just inside the bottom of his mask. Works for him. I tried getting him to use panty liners but he didn't like the sticky backing.

I have the same problem and you're right. It's gross. I have no solution. Some nights are worse than others.

Pad-a-cheek liners. Not only do they stop leaks, they also absorb drool.
