Ointment recommendations for nostrils
Does anyone use an ointment at night in their nostrils to help prevent irritation in their nostrils resulting from using CPAP at a high pressure? If so is it something available OTC or obtained with a Rx from your doctor? My current pressure is 18. Feedback appreciated.

Re: Ointment recommendations for nostrils
My Dr told me to put KY in my nostrils. Haven't done it yet, though.

Lanolin (Lansinoh), Ayr saline gel, or Astroglide are safe for delicate tissues and contain no petroleum.
If you use KY, do not use the "warming" formula.

OT: How do you add your CPAP equipment details here? Machine; mask; pressure; etc?

Click edit equipment.
Also, while the pictures look pretty, go with the text version, as different machines within the same model series look the same. I used pic at first, until I realized that all Resmed S9s look the same, and it's difficult to tell what model you have specifically. Here's a nasal ointment being sold on CPAP.com. Does anyone use it? Here's the link: https://www.cpap.com/productpage/neilme ... -tube.html

I have used the NasoGEL spray by NeilMed and I like it much better than plain saline mist. I haven't tried their NasoGEL, but I currently use Ayr Saline Nasal Gel which is the same thing, just made by a different manufacturer.
While I like the convenience of the gel spray, I seem to get better relief by the gel tube.

+1 for Lansinoh. Safe for silicone and works great.

At my local natural drug store I found a liquid lanolin that I have been using every night and its awesome. I use a teensy amount -- its going to last a long long time. Lanisoh is a gel form of that.
