49er: Some of my best friends are thin--even though some are nearly as ignorant as those who believe that overweight
is a moral weakness rather than a physical defect or an environmental problem. (like my sister-in-law)
Sadly, skinny is often just an accident (though a happy one), but too many I know take credit for it-
-making them feel morally superior to us fluffies.

I appreciate everyone's input but I AM NOT OBESE HYPERLEXIS. I am 5 ft and weigh 150 and am currently losing a little at a time. I know all about the difference in Type 1 & 2 diabetes. I have a 5 y/o granddaughter that has been type 1 since she was 2. DO NOT TELL ME THAT I DO NOT KNOW ANYTHING HYPERLEXIS!!!!!! And to Sheriff Buford my first night was so so I put the wrong size mask on so I took it off in the night but woke up again and changed masks and slept for a few more hours just fine. I feel pretty good today. Thank you for asking. I will keep up on this forum daily to learn more and hopefully be able to help someone else like you all have done for me.

Great job for the first night!

Keep a diary of how you feel. It will help you see progress if it is slow to start. Some people feel better right way and some take months for the effects to show.

I picked up a RemStar Pro M with only 40 hours on it, with full face mask, (to use as a travel machine) for $100 on Craig's List. Older technology but does the job as well as the new machine (although it has a weird data card). The owner was asking $299 for it and I made her an offer. Most folks on Craig's list have their machines over priced and will come down once they realized folks ain't gonna pay that much. My ResMed S9 has some nice features but I could live with the Pro M as my main machine if I didn't have insurance (medicare advantage).
