Folks,
How do I setup my account so when I click on a thread, it brings me to the first unread message?\
Thanks.

Go to User Ctl Panel, then to Board Index at the bottom, then (3rd one down) to Edit Display Options, and choose length of time (1 yr, 7 days, etc.) you want and hit submit underneath those.

When you have read a thread the little orange square next to the avatar will turn to blue, all unread threads will still be orange squares. You can also read a thread then when others add to that thread you can click the same square and it will take you automatically to where you left off.... also if you click the clear square next to the last persons name on the right hand side it will take you to the last post on the thread. Actually the instructions are at the bottom of the main page its called cpaptalk icon, bottom left hand side of page..

Nan, your instructions are just what I've been looking for . . . until I tried to use them. But then I'm a slow learner. <g> First, I found out I must be logged on in order to see the small orange squares. Duh! That makes sense. Then I found out some of the threat titles do not have the tiny squares, either orange or blue. Seemed to be no rhyme or reason for those special cases. Also, I found in order for the tiny squares to change color, when leaving a thread I must scroll all the way to the top and click on "Return to CPAP . . ." I've always just moved the cursor to the very top of the screen and clicked on the left arrow. Much easier to do.nanwilson wrote:When you have read a thread the little orange square next to the avatar will turn to blue, all unread threads will still be orange squares. Next time I log on I'll give the feature of returning to where I left off on a previously read thread a try. Also, I access this forum from three different computers, so I'll find out of these features spread from on to the next.
The one feature I wish this forum software had is the ability return to where I left off on the thread list. If I see a thread subject that interests me and go read it, when I return to the thread list again I have no indication where I was on the list. I must remember the name of the thread I just read and look for it so I can then resume browsing the list. Am I missing something when I go back to the list?
Thanks for the education.

If you right click on the orange square and select "open in new tab" then you can go on and open all you want and still keep track of where you are.wardmiller wrote:Nan, your instructions are just what I've been looking for . . . until I tried to use them. I think in the thread you posted does not show the little orange square.
