IS your machine's Version Updated?

Post by Ruinednose » Sat Jan 04, 2014 12:39 am

What is the Version of your machine? IS it the latest version, if not, the DME can update the version from the manufacturer approved updates.

For example on Respironics, when you turn on the machine, it will say V xxxx
Ask DME if that's the latest version.
Also. How else could we find out.

Just like any software on your computer, smartphone ect,,, its good to stay updated on versions, They tweak possible bugs, update algorithm. and whatever the manufacturer feels its a step up in evolution.

I agree 100%...I have never seen what difference firmware makes in my therapy.

There was a thread a few months ago about updating the PR System One 50 series machines if you were back at version 2.01, but I haven't heard about firmware updates for 60 series machines, which are much newer.

Obviously any update wont change therapy, remember therapy is just some pressure settings,
so why you would of hoped for better therapy is beyond me,

Simple firmware updates make the product simply run better, and its a nice thought that the company is still giving a shit about your model machine.

Updates can help better algorithms, can help better communication with the sleep reading software for higher accuracy and other stabilization factors, if you need to be updated, why not?
