Post by mckooi » Mon Dec 30, 2013 5:19 pm

Hi,

Problem: beeping sound and blue light on buttons blinking (keep going on).
Panel message: service required.
cpap model: respronics m series auto aflex (since 2008).

Last night the cpap was working but did not auto detect and start itself like i usually do after wearing the mask. So i pressed the start button and it works. Now, this morning i turn it off then on it did not start the blower but keep beeping as descripted above. Please help.

Went to a camp site drove on bumpy road. Cound this been the cause?
I am on pressure setting : min 16.5cm to max 18.5cm. (Without cpap to sleep i dont wake up feel well)
ahi: low 3 to 4 with cpap (without cpap ahi 65+ severe osa).

Please help and Thank you and God bless.

Problem solved.
Caused: smart card wrongly inserted.
Solution: fllip over the smart card and reinsert and beeping sound stop and blinking light stop.
Reason that cause this to happen most likely foggy head and not careful or mind not sharp.
Thank you and God bless.

Hi All,

Well it's not a new machine and they do wear out eventually. How long have you used it regularly? Most insurance co's replace after 5 yrs - is that relevant to you?

There are people here who occasionally have machines to donate and should be along soon. I'm sorry I can't do more!

You may want to simply disconect the power wait a minute and reconnect it. If that
doesn't work I have a S8 Vontage, an auto cpap with only about 400 hrs use on it I would
take $120 for.

I experienced the same thing. Everyone indicated that the machine was trash. Someone suggested taking the machine apart but I could not figure out how to do that. I ended up trashing mine. looking for a travel cpap.

Do you have any money at all that you could spare towards a newer machine?

I don't have a donated machine that I could offer at this time but maybe we could find a good used machine for minimal cash outlay.

There are organizations that can help but they might also require some sort of funds plus a doctor has to be involved. Do you still have a doctor who could write a RX for the machine?

There's the Reggie White Foundation...and this one https://www.sleepapnea.org/community/cp ... p-machine/

Finally you might call the people at acbio.com who repair these machines and run your problem by them to see if they have any ideas for you to try.
It's going to cost more to fix it than the machine is worth most likely but maybe they have some ideas.

Where do you live?
If in the US, see the last two posts in this thread: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=157767&p=1212467&hi ... r#p1212467

If Pugsy is looking, do you still agree the solution will be beneficial to the OP in regard to its functional relationship with the OP's stated machine? BTW - the machine has about 4500 hours on it.

The model 550 that you have is the next newer model from the OP's original M series Auto...Pretty much the same machine with just a couple of new features and it would be an excellent option for the OP in this situation.

I used to use the M Series Auto (my very first machine back in 2009) and when the 550 came out I jumped on (when I found a cheap one) because it offered more data and the SD card thing and it was the exact same machine in terms of functionality. Win-win.

Now we must wait to see if he responds - my track record of giving away old machines is not good, thus far.

I hear you...you wouldn't think that it wouldn't be so difficult to give away a machine.
Mckooi is a long time forum member so maybe he will be back sooner than later.

That's funny. Maybe it's the creepy face you make when you say "freeeeeeeeee" that scares people away.
