Worried about inhaling filter fibers?
Re: Worried about inhaling filter fibers?
Odds are if you just use the filter as intended, and replace it correctly as the factory specs suggested, everything would be ok. Not much wear and tear on a filter, unleiss you like to play with it a lot. The older a filter gets the better they work by taking out smaller particles, the reason to change one is to stop air flow restriction. Jim

If your have pets and don't have a working filter, tape a bit of tissue paper over the hole to help keep the pet hair out of the motor.
It would be nice if Resmed would come up with a decent filter design. The one on their s9 isn't very good and the filters tend to leak.

Compare the old filter with the new filter once you get it.jbt1125 wrote:That's right... I have the S9 and all it has is the white square fine filter at the back of the machine. I have replaced them monthly up to this point, I am just a little beind and the filter doesnt look dirty, it is very white, but the fibers have begun to whisp loose/separate in some spots.
It may not look dirty now, but it probably will when you compare it to the whiteness of a new filter.

But have they stopped spraying the edges with lead paint? JimBobshouse wrote:They stopped making asbestos filters years ago...your good.
