CL2 or NA2

Post by lastchance » Thu May 25, 2006 7:05 am

My beautiful wife came up with the idea of buying her mother a special birthday gift this year. Partly because we are a little short of cash this year and also out of genuine concern for the old lady's health.
She suffers with sleep apnea along with her too many to count medical ailments. I have been successfully treating my sleep apnea for almost 2 years now.
For those of you that have tried the Comfortlite 2, (our gift to her will be a basket including a new sleep mask) how does the nasal insert compare with the Nasal Aire 2 ? If it is as comfortable, we can't go wrong. I'm assuming she'll get all the sizes, right?
The Comfortlite was one of the masks skipped on my adventure to comfort zone. I would go right for the Nasal Aire 2 for her, but I don't want to go through the "size" thing with her, thus, she'll have that and a pillow and a mask. I think she'll settle for the little mask of the three since she has something like that now, comfortable enough, but the leak is unacceptable.

Somehow I can't picture this thing on someones grandmother. I dont know why. It's no nasalaire. It doesn't go inside you nose, it's more like a pillow. Don't you need a perscription to buy these masks?

Neverbetter, you can buy the masks at cpap.com without a prescription. You do have to pay out of pocket but you can then submit it to your insurance for payment. Some DME providers swear you can't have a mask without a prescription but you can.
