made it thru my sleep study,,,

Post by sleepybon » Wed May 24, 2006 5:23 pm

Thanks to all of you for your responses on my first thread. Well, I had my sleep study last night. I couldn't believe all the tape I had on my face!
They made me feel very comfy, and I brought my water pillow and my memory foam mattress topper with me, so I'd be as comfortable as possible.
They did not use the cpap on me. She said I was close to meeting the criteria, But, that doesn't mean that they won't recommend cpap for me. I am to call them of Friday and they will let me know.
Here is an interesting thing tho, they are looking to expand their business, and because here in Manitoba there is a 2-5 yr waiting list, they'd like to get into our province. So they talked about hiring me or something like that to talk to the drs, etc and try and get referals for them! told them I'd think about it. There is alot to figure out as our health care systems are different, and government etc.

I will let you know of Friday after I've talked to them what exactly the scoop on the cpap will be.

Bon

Congrats...you are on your way! Seriously...a 2-5 YEAR wait?? For the test? To get equipment?

Getting old doesn't make you 'forgetful'. Having too damn many things to remember makes you 'forgetful'.
