Another thing to keep an eye on is your prescription medicines. Lactose is a popular filler, a so-called "inactive" ingredient.

One of the few things I didn't verify almost six years ago when I had my cancer surgery was what was in the post-surgery pain pills. Trying to scramble out of bed to race to the bathroom when you have four Jackson-Pratt drains hanging from you and a 24" incision is NOT entertaining. (No, I didn't make it.)

Well here is someone who is dairy free. I did my research and came to the conclusion that dairy is bad for anyone. First thing is that it is VERY addicting. Do some research and you will see that a dairy withdraw is actually very uncomfortable. And I swear if anyone decides to be dairy free, their energy levels will dramatically go up. Dairy is only and should only be used for breast feeding and that is it. Even something like clarified butter aka ghee is not fully dairy free. Although I do have recurring thoughts of pizza and ice cream. The benefits of being dairy free definetely outweight the consequences
