3 month review

Post by andy5805 » Thu Dec 12, 2013 1:41 am

full time compliant hose head for 3 months, most of it has been positive , few negatives

i'd like to thank the people on here, for their creative, and sometimes brilliant ideas on how to stay on the machine, because my life is undoubtedly enriched several times over by compliance. I type this awake, lively, ready for the new day. Before therapy, it was over before it even started and I was a grumpy, angry, corpse.

I could have fallen off so many times as panic gripped me, set in and made me think "will this ever work"

but the lanonlin helped me heal myself before more punishment from the mask. the ingenious tights (panty hose ) on head trick has been the latest thing that's renewed my faith. the mask is problematic, the pillows flare all over the place, and I am in currently in no-mans-land with an old, ill fitting mask, and a machine I bought myself from the USA. Though diagnosed by them many years ago, the doctors are still catching up here because I rejected therapy the first time round due to lack of support so had to do it again. I've asked to be referred telling them I've treated myself as they took so long, but while it goes through, I can't get any replacement kit, what I have is what I have and especially due to Christmas I cannot afford any more imports.

Some of the ideas on here are brilliant as they are priceless, I can tell that many of them have been forged and learned from many nights hard time awake and experience - to come on here and learn from these ideas so I don't suffer as well is amazing, and it is a resource so great that I've complied this time, I failed with the entire NHS behind me last time.

Big thankyou to you all, without your creativity and ingenuity, because the face is not meant for the mask and sleep is not meant for the machine, you've helped me upgrade to a vastly new and improved way of sleeping and stay with it. Thanks all

Andy

Thanks for the update. You might want to consider also posting your story in the "success stories" category at the top for others to read and be encouraged by. Best wishes going forward.

will do - at weekend when I have time to put it into the right words

100% sure I'm a hose face for life, I know this at barely over 3 months, I guess that's testimony in itself - that 3 months is all it took to realise that with my snoring myself awake, this is the only way to sleep

all the best
Andy
