Pass for a bionicle?!?!?

Post by krousseau » Wed May 24, 2006 8:50 am

The weekend promises to be a fun one-Going on a three day two night field trip with 29 first graders. Last year this time I was too tired to even think about going on this annual trip. Hope I don't scare any parents in the middle of the night-the kids will think I look like a bionicle. I'm trying to be very careful with packing so that I don't end up forgetting something. Went back and looked at old posts about traveling for ideas. Guess it would be a good idea to put a checklist on top of all the CPAP gear in the roll-on so I don't leave anything behind at the hostel.

Faced with the choice between changing one's mind and proving that there is no need to do so, almost everyone gets busy on the proof.....Galbraith's Law

A bionacle is a lego that has moving joints and pieces. They look like robots. They have weird names you never can pronounce. From my 12 year son.

Ah, the absence of 12 year old boys in my life explains my ignorance! I can rest so much easier now knowing what krousseau thinks she might look like to the 1st graders accompanying her.

You go krousseau!

Only go straight, don't know.

Doesn't anyone watch Saturday Morning Cartoons?

Post by brasshopper » Wed May 24, 2006 2:34 pm

Or maybe the Cartoon Network?

Look, I remember what cartoons were like when I was a kid - heck, you can still seem them on Boomerang.

Today's cartoons today are some of the best stuff on TV. You can look at the Japanese cartoons - and their relentless emphasis on cooperation - or the Italian imports and their emphasis on individual strength. Or the French ones and their emphasis on, well, not all cartoons are good.

Cartoon Network's Adult Swim has great satire and social commentary.

And, well, that is where you find Bionicle advertisements. Or you can google and find the official site.
