SD card reader

Post by Ducky2 » Fri Nov 29, 2013 11:06 am

hi...I'm really new to all this, been reading and finding out tons of info...so thankful for this site!!
I'm still on my 2 week trial machine, but expect to be buying one next week. the resmed s9 is the one offered by my limited local outlet. I have NO cpap dr. following me and the tech here is very shall we say...unhelpful. she told me there was NO way I could read the reports myself...HA..found you guys and sleepyhead. there will be many questions.
- my first question is what kind of SD card reader do I need? any specific kind or size?

If your computer doesn't have a slot for a SD card...any generic card reader/adapter will work. One end to plug into the USB port and the other end to plug the SD card into.

If your computer has a SD card slot...you don't need anything as long as it is functional.

Depends on the computer. Most laptops have a SD slot but sometimes hard to find..my laptop was that way. If I hadn't asked the salesperson about it I would never have found it on my own.
Also depends on the age of the computer...some of the older ones or custom built PCs didn't have one.
Walmart has them..or any number of sources online.
They look like this and cost around this much or even less. No need to spend big bucks on a fancy one.
