software for PR 560P on mac

Post by babby » Sun Nov 24, 2013 8:38 am

I got some great feedback to my first post (viewtopic/t93775/no-apnea-events-but-cp ... ended.html), and I now have a Phillips Respironics 560P. I downloaded Sleepyhead on my mac, but I can't seem to get it to import data from the SD card. I did a little searching, and it looks like this is a known issue. Is there an alternate software I can use?

Thank you.

I believe that a patch is still needed for SleepyHead for Macs to be able to work with the PR Series 60 machines like yours. The patch is at https://s3.amazonaws.com/thefreemanclan ... pyHead.dmg

You can get more information about the patch in the thread:
viewtopic.php?f=1&t=83551&st=0&sk=t&sd= ... 30#p760793

The patch is not needed for people installing SleepyHead 0.9.3 on Windows machines. If you're installing one of the unstable nightly builds of SleepyHead 0.9.4 on the Mac, I don't think you need the patch, but then again, these versions are actively under development and may be unstable.

Did you do the 60 series Patch for Macs?
viewtopic/t83551/SleepyHead-Series-60-Patch-Avail.html
Page 3 of this thread...look for post from Rich0...third or fourth post from the top has the link to download the patch.
Don't get the download patch mentioned in the first post on first page...that's for Windows and no longer needed with latest Windows version of SH.

Or you might try the unstable Mac build test to see if the Patch is included in that build...I don't remember. There is no installer in that build yet...you have to open the file using the application exe file. If you know how to do that sort of thing it's worth a try.
The unstable builds are a separate download link on the File page....you can see it using the link in my signature.

There is no other software that will work on your Mac.
Encore is available but you would need a Windows environment to use it on your Mac...something like Bootcamp or Parallels.
I can help you with that if you can get Windows on your Mac or you have a Windows PC laying around.

The Patch does work though. So far the only 60 series machine that it won't work with is the 960 model.

Does anyone know if the SleepyHead will work with a Somnobalance machine? I use a Mac, so that is an additional complication.

No, unfortunately it will not. Even if you had a Windows computer it wouldn't
Somnobalance machines are not dispensed here in the US or Australia (where SH's creator lives) so there is no real need here for that software here or in Australia. It seems to be used mainly in the European countries since it is German made or sometimes South Africa countries
I have no idea where to even find the software for those machines either.
So sorry.
