CPAP Making weird noises, can't sleep!

Post by Baxter » Fri Nov 22, 2013 5:49 am

Hello.

My Dad uses a CPAP machine. Last night at around 1:00 it started making really weird noises, somewhat like a trumpet. Every time the sound played, the pitch got slightly higher. Eventually, it stopped. Later in the night, it happened again, but this time played shorter softer sounds, still like a trumpet. Do any of you know how that can be fixed?

Also, if it is of any help, it is a Fisher & Paykel Healthcare 200 series.

Have you asked the dealer about it?

Sounds like mask farts... the mask is leaking and the ensuing air makes a fart sound as it escapes.
Started cpap in 2010.. still at it with great results.
