Be nice if they had a sizing gage.

I checked with our host earlier today and was told that the mfr hadn't released a sizing guide yet but suggested that I purchase the return insurance if the size wasn't correct. Dave, I may wait for you to take the plunge!

Our hosts sent me a sizing guide this morning via e-mail... It's a PDf document.... its the same type of sizing guide that F & P used on the ESON..... you print it out and then hold it up to your face.

As best I can tell from using the guide - I'm a medium.

I figure that since the frame is a one size fita all, it the cushion on the medium is too small or too large, I can order a different size cushion.

I placed my order wiht our hosts this morning.. Paid $105 without insurance. It will be shipping to me on Monday.

If all goes well, I'll be able to try it out during Thanksgiving holiday.

As soon as I get it, I'll post a review. if the Quattro Air was wider it would have been awesome...The Simplus has a wider profile around the mouth, so I've got my fingers crossed.

Just checked and still no size guide on host site.
Any ideas on how it compares to the quattro fx or comfortgel full? I have tried the quattro fx in large size butprefer the comfortgel full in XL size.
Thanks
Rob

No insurance?? How much is another size cushion?

I see the same posters praising F&P masks again and again. But I have yet to see any of them providing Stats reports of the Leak when using these F&P masks. I maintain that F&P masks do not have the technology of the "double silicone flaps" in their cushions that Resmed and Respironics have (F&P don't own PATENTS for it).

Example: see the one year nightly value of 95% Percentile of 7.2 L/Minute of the actual unintentional LEAK that I achieve with my Resmed nasal mask (it's a MEDIAN of the 95% for all the 2,502 nights).

for reference sake...

I started with the Quattro FX sized medium... it lasted 30 days before I gave up on sealing leaks.....
Next came the Comfort Gel Blue FFM in medium.... it lasted 48 hours before it sailed across the room

The Quattro standard FFM in medium has been my mask for over a year now.

tried the Quattro Air in medium and large a few months ago. The frame was just too narrow for my face and it felt like I was forced to pucker up. botht of them went back to our hosts via insurance.

for fun, I'm going to try the Simplus FFM in medium.

worst thing that can happen is that I go back to my old reliable Mirage Quattro FFM.

If you remember Avi123 I posted my stats for my F&P Forma and had zero leaks and all you could say was there was something wrong with my machine, cause nobody could have zero leaks for that long.

Dori, Just wondering if you guys have tried the Quattro FX? It's the only FFM that I've gotten to somewhat work for me. Separately, I know you're a pro at this , but just thought I'd mention / ask whether you've tried a chinstrap/pap-cap together with the FFM? I've found that my jaw tends to go up and down a lot at night (I sleep talk? ), and that causes the mask to move. The pap-cap prevents my jaw from falling, which helps keep the seal. Perhaps Mike also likes to exercise his jaw while sleeping?

Dave, similar question for you in case you've tried the Quattro FX, can you also compare the silicon of the Simplus to the Quattro FX? I found that the other F&P masks I tried several years ago had a very strange type of silicon - more rigid and heavier than the Resmed/Respironics masks.

BTW, what's the difference between the old Quattro and the Quattro Air? I haven't been following mask technology for a few years!
