FFM vs. nausea?

A nasty stomach virus that is going around the family. So far I've managed to avoid it, but I'm a bit wary of putting on my hybrid mask, since I don't know if/when urgent nausea will strike.

What do folks normally do in this situation? Skip the machine? Wear a nasal mask or nasal pillows instead?

I'd hate to, er, "flood" the machine (or mask, for that matter)...

If you are one of those people who don't get a warning...I think I would used a mask that left my mouth clear of any obstructions.
The last thing I would want to do when puking is have to clean out a mask too.

When I have had really bad stomach bugs where I know the night is not going to go well...I don't even attempt to wear my mask and usually end up on the bathroom floor for a good bit of the night...mainly because it seems like when I get a stomach bug it comes out both ends at the same time and I simple don't have enough time to make it to the bathroom before one of them wants to make an appearance....but that's when I have it really bad with the puking and pooping stomach bug.

I just went through that about 3 weeks ago.

I only use Nasal masks & did try to sleep with my mask on & a small trashcan nearby because I knew I would never make it to the bathroom.

Well, puking with a nasal mask is no picnic either.
The slight restriction from the hose kept me from hitting the bullseye on the trashcan & I got a lot of it on the front of my pajama shirt.

Like Pugsy, I spent most of my time sitting on the toilet anyway, but when I did spend some time in bed, I went naked (withOUT mask & machine).

Luckily, I got over it in 1 day, so the next night was with mask & machine as normal. Never really figured out what I had. Was not what I ate because my wife had the same thing with no consequences.
