DME Provider in Colorado

Post by crownapp » Mon Nov 18, 2013 1:50 pm

I live in Denver, and my doctor just turned up my pressure to 14 to 20 and the current full face mask I use is a Mirage Quatro, and I have a terribly dry mouth from using it and I feel like a zombie from not getting the proper sleep. The provider I am using says they only carry a select few masks and that I will have to go and find a mask that works and they will order it. I don't know where to look. Is there any providers out there that will help me. Thanks Mark

Who do you use now? They might have a policy to try a mask for 30 days and return it. It might have more to do with your pressure change than the mask. There's a lot of variables!!

In a few locales, sleep labs have loaner masks, but from reading this board it's RARE!! Northern Colorado Hospital in Greeley has such a program. But of course they also have regular luncheons, with guest speakers and Q&A sessions too, that I envy!!!

I can't help you with specific providers, but ask your current DME if they will do the 30 Day Trial on any new masks you try - UNTIL you can find the one that fits your needs.

For providers, check with your insurance & they can point you to a list of "their" allowed providers. You may have more luck with a different one.
