So here's the story: the heater went out on the humidifier on my Respironics System One CPAP a few weeks ago. My insurance won't pay for a replacement (high deductible) so I've been keeping an eye out for a replacement. This week I connected with a guy down in California who had one he didn't need (he needed one that would work with heated tubes). So he sent that one to me...but they've changed the electrical connection and it won't work with my machine, which is about 2.5 years old.
So...does anyone know where I can get a heated humidifier to fit my older System One, and is anyone in need of one that will fit a new machine? Or know another group or connection I could follow up?
Thanks for any help. I'm sure you all know how very dry my mouth is when I wake up without a heated humidifier!!

Which humidifier did you get? The new 60 series humidifier and you need a 50 series humidifier?
If a 60 series humidifier does it already have the special lid on it which has the electric plug for the heated hose?
Secondwindcpap.com has some 50 series humidifiers that are gently used but come with new water tanks. I bought one a while back to go with a blower only purchase I made on craigslist. Great people to do business with and the humidifier looked totally brand new.

If the guy had the 60 series humidifier all he had to do to make it work with the heated tube is a little upgrade kit or lid if he already had the heated hose and the different power supply.

What is the part number of the one you need? I have a spare one from a 550 system.
