Minor new mask data question
Tried a new mask last night, was pretty comfortable (the Eson). I checked sleepyhead this morning; everything looked really good (AHI<1, no major leaks, etc.), except that there were a bunch of vibratory snores, which I hadn't seen before (not crazy, maybe 20 over the night). I'm inclined to ignore this, figuring that maybe nasal masks register snores differently than pilows, or I had a snory night, but wanted to check with folks in the know. Thanks!
Re: Minor new mask data question
20 snores total over the entire night isn't something I would worry about either if I slept well and felt decent.
I have some nights with pretty much zero snores and some nights with sometimes little clusters of snores. Maybe I am on my back...maybe it is REM sleep stage where my OSA is known worse.
Since they are rare and even the clusters don't happen often or last long and I sleep well...I don't care.
The PR S1 machine sometimes records snores that aren't maybe real snores. I know it picked up my little dog's snores when he sleeps with his little chin on my shoulder next to my neck. The machine never tries to increase the pressure to fix those snores because they aren't real flow reduction snores. So it can flag some snores that aren't real..maybe a bit of hose noise or my dog or something.
It might pick up some vibration in the mask like from a low level leak.
Again unless you feel bad or your sleep is disturbed 3 or 4 snores per hour probably isn't hurting a thing.
