Mask leaks

Post by glenwood73 » Sun Nov 10, 2013 7:37 am

I went to the sleep doc Friday and brought my machine card...The doc says some nights I only average one hour of cpap and asks if mask is leaking....I wake every morning with mask on and do not recall any leaks, I am a stomach sleeper and maybe this is the problem...Any suggestions ?

Thanks glenwood73

What model machine are you using?
Some sort of older ResMed unit that goes with the humidifier you have in your profile?
Your machine isn't showing in your profile...it may be chosen but it seems like links to older discontinued equipment are broken.

If mask leaks are well above large leak territory it is possible that the machine can't sense breathing and thus it might report only an hour of use because it missed other hours because leaks were so big.

You may have leak data available on your machine so you can at least have an idea what the leaks are doing...it all depends on which model machine you are using.
