Not that the sticks are a problem, but the cost of supplies are way out of line, and the added saving of data, would be great. Too bad the cost goals weren't addressed. Sounds like vaporware! Time will tell, I can't see the price being lower than what they now soak us for in strips. I don't change lancettes unless I test someone else with my sticker.

Hope it's sucessful, and does lower the overall cost. twice yearly for the sensor would be good as long as greed isn't computed into the pricing. Jim

I really hope this works with pets. Seriously. My cat is diabetic and I test him on his ear now, but involves sticking him and hoping he doesn't shake his head and splatter blood everywhere before I can get the meter to his ear. It would also get more people testing their pets and hopefully keep diabetic pets in their homes instead of being given up to shelters.

From looking at pulse oximeters and ear clip pulse sensors,
I can't help wondering when the pulse-ox people will be able to offer firmware to do this with existing hardware.
Gluco Track is being welcomed in Europe, where there is actually motivation to reduce healthcare costs.

Crap... when I read the title to your thread I immediately thought "Oh goodie, someone has come up with a way to deal with our spammers - aka pricks" .
No such luck...................

An interesting (to some) mini-history of the search . . .

Very good point, jnk.
The various fundraising sites are rife with awesome-sounding projects.
I've seen some very iffy stuff on Shark Tank, as well.
There is no universal crap filter.

I've seen things for the past two or three years about non-invasive blood glucose testing. They need to make certain it is accurate enough. But there's no doubt there is a lot of testing on this area. It's not just a myth. Whether this project turns into a real product is hard to determine. But we will see it in the fairly near future.

Stu, I would wish for that, too. --but you can't always get what you want--unless you rule North Korea.
I would really like to see an ear clip, with a Bluetooth to a smartphone.
Sure would be easier for a kid to check glucose without grossing out schoolmates.

I thought this thread was to say they had found a way to get rid of those who post in the politics threads.

Now that was lovely. So, people who post in political threads are pricks? Or, only those who have a different view point??

Do political threads have their own politics, or just their own politicians?

Is disagreeing with the value of political threads a political stance in and of itself?

Does anyone disagree with the notion that we should only discuss what we agree on?

If most people would vote to get rid of all politicians, what would they then call the people who acted on their vote?

Is politics really just another form of religion, and if so, how should people keep it separate from itself?

I hadn't noticed that there were ever any political threads in this forum, myself.

And what's the good of being a kid if you can't gross out schoolmates?

I only have questions. No answers.
