SleepyHead and ASV machines??
SleepyHead and ASV machines??
This is a question that's come up on a couple of other boards where there are no real SH experts (other than yours truly, or so it seems).
And this is a question that I don't know the answer to.
Is SH fully compatible with the Resmed S9 VPAP ASV Adapt machines???
Is SH fully compatible with the PR System One ASV machine???
I don't want to go spreading bad information ....

Re: SleepyHead and ASV machines??
SH is not fully compatible (vers 9.3) with PR ASV Series 60 machines.
I cannot comment on series 50 machines.
Edit: the file formats are different from previous ASV file structures. JediMark has copies of some files and is working on the issues.

Re: SleepyHead and ASV machines??
Thanks JDS74 for the info about the Series 60 machines. That's useful to one of the people that I'm trying to help.
Anybody know about the S9 VPAP ASV Adpats?

Re: SleepyHead and ASV machines??
As best I know, but not personally, it works with the S9 version of the ASV.

Re: SleepyHead and ASV machines??
Short answer: No, I need more data samples.. and slightly more of a clue on how ASV works
I'm working on this and I'm going to darn well make sure the next (proper) release supports both S9 & SystemOne ASV machines
Half my problem is I don't fully grok how they are different from the fancier Auto BiPAP/VPAP's... Some BIPAP's have varying pressure support.. so is it just the Breath initiation stuff on top of that? How is a ResMed VPAP ASV machine different from my new VPAP Auto for instance? Do all ASV machines have variable pressure support?
I have decoded all the pressure settings for the 60 series ASV machines, I just need to add it to the summary parser code. Humidifier settings/etc aren't known yet.
The data's easier on ResMed because of the open format, but I don't think I have very much english VPAP ASV data.
I might need to make a new Pressure graph for ASV users.. not sure how to present it.. all I know is the current one looks incredibly busy..
I know ASV can help control periodic breathing and CSR.. Considering how often I get episodes of both of those, I probably should be on ASV myself. :-/

Re: SleepyHead and ASV machines??
jedimark, I fear I owe you some data. My apologies I've been unable to do that so far. No real problems on my end. Life just got busy. I shall try to gather the data and get it to you as soon as possible. But first my son and his girlfriend are coming over. Then I have ... Oh, you get the idea.
But since I am *highly* invested in getting a working solution, I will do my best to get the data to you.

Re: SleepyHead and ASV machines??
Jedimark,
I will complete my first 30 days on the PR ASV machine so changing the numbers and experimenting for a day won't mess up anything with my insurance,
Could you send me a set of test values that would be helpful?
I'm thinking a series that changes the PS parameter in the sequence 2, 4, 6, 8 might pinpoint how that is stored.
Then a separate series varying EPAPMin 6, 8, 10 might help with that.
Any other suggestions?

Re: SleepyHead and ASV machines??
Hi RobySue.
Bob Here from ApneaBoard. I will now spend more time here also.
For JediMark: where can I send the data from my new series 60 ASV and where can I get all the necessary Dlls for the daily builds.
I downloaded the 3 Dll zip files and searched to web for the ones that were reported missing but Sleepyhead could not find a correct entry point_Z11qUncompressPKhi in QT5Core.dll

Almost from the get go, I have used SleepyHead with my S9 VPAP ASV Adapt.robysue wrote:This is a question that's come up on a couple of other boards where there are no real SH experts (other than yours truly, or so it seems).

While I prefer ResScan's graphs, I use SleepyHead every day right alongside ResScan, because SH's Statistics Page with Records and Bookmarks quickly presents me with an easily understandable picture of my progress in a manner much more understandable than ResScan does. The Statistics page in SH lays everything out in one page with none of the clicking and switching required in ResScan - Most Recent; Last 7 days; Last 30 days; Last 6 Months; Last Year.
Regards, Nate
