Blood Oxygen Transport

Post by JDS74 » Sun Oct 20, 2013 2:49 pm

I found this really interesting article on the mechanism for transporting oxygen in the body.
It interests me because of my mildly low hemoglobin level and SpO2 levels that hover around 90% to 92% at night.

Very interesting. Basically it is the Hb level combined with the pulse ox reading, along with the rate of blood circulation (pulse rate and volume per pulse) that determines the true ability of the blood to deliver O2 to the tissues. Thanks, it was good reading for sure.
