My husband brought home a package of Oreo mint cookies that I ignored for several days. Thanks to this post I just ate 4.

Sorry bout that!

I remember while viewing http://theweightofthenation.hbo.com/ that just the segments of the pop commercials shown had me going out and getting a pop!

If we are so vulnerable then what of our children!!!!!!!!! No more sugar adds during children's TV times!!!!

I am glad I am reading http://www.amazon.com/Fat-Chance-Beatin ... 159463100X as it gave me enough strength and wisdom to choose a child size cone tonight (after a dinner with salad and getting at least half of my 10,000 steps this recovery day) rather than the milkshake I thought I wanted.

Probably we need to tax sugar and limit advertisement. Yes, I think we do!

Say it isn't so, OREO's now require a prescription, worse yet you are limited to one a day under Obamacare, but 1/2 of each cookie has to be mailed to the IRS. Jim

Yup.. just exactly what Ford wants to know.

Ford... hang in there and start to feel better. Oreos will be in the stores for a long time.

I will start the first oreos anonymous chapter. It goes like this - I am 49 and I am an oreo addict. I expect you all to reply, Hi 49er.

I saw a story about the oreos the other night, and I thought, now where is that package I bought last week? I finally got them out tonight and ate a few. Can something be addictive if there is no withdrawal? I used to be addicted to caffeine. I would get headaches if I stopped. I switched to a different soda that doesn't have caffeine. I would say that sugar may be addictive. If we are used to a lot of it and then go to a lower amount, we tend to notice the lack of sugar a we get tired. But I don't see how an Oreo is much different or worse compared to other cookies, candy bars, etc. Other than they taste better. Kinda like Krispy Kremes compared to other donuts. I love Krispy Kremes (the standard glazed one), but are they physically worse than other donuts, or just tastier? Good thing there isn't a Krispy Kreme place near me.

Who would have thought it would be this challenging to sleep and breathe at the same time?

Never never try the mint oreos. This could change your mind and lead to addiction.

I have, and I will not allow them in the house--not because I shouldn't have them,
but that the guys don't leave any at all for me.
