trouble with sleepyhead

Post by theoldman22 » Thu Oct 17, 2013 8:25 pm

Picture below is (I hope) of what I get trying to show downloaded information using Sleepyhead v0.9.3, which was downloaded about a month ago. What am I doing wrong? Computer is using Windows XP Pro.

theoldman22,

I could not see the image in the post. Copy, pasting, and editing the provided url gives me the following image. Is this the correct image? If this is the right image, what's the question? Is it the question about why the fonts are so messed up???

Your system fonts are way too big...

What screen resolution are you running on?

I'm glad you brought this up, because I need to address this issue for people with not so good eyesight and tiny screens.

Open Sleepy head software. Click File / Preferences then Appearance. You can adjust the font size to 10 which is the default. That should fix it .

Oldman from NM, since you have a Resmed machine why don't you use ResScan? ResScan helped me achieve an envious treatment.
See my last year's Stats:

thanks to all who replied. Appreciate.

Yes, the URL in my post was of the image I was trying to send. The instructions I used for the attempt were from one of Pugsy's post:
Once the screen shot is created save it in jpg format.
Upload the image to a host site. I use Photobucket it is free, there are others.
Once the image is uploaded then copy the ENTIRE IMG address. Be sure to include the opening and closing IMG in brackets. Paste that copied address into a post here.
If you want to use Photobucket they provide a box with the various url addresses and you just choose the last one in the box.
Copy/paste that last line url address into the body of your post.
Use the preview button. If you can't see the image try again because if you can't see it we can't.
I tried many times using these instructions but never got the image--just the URL.

Later today I will reduce thw font size as suggested and see if I get a usable versuin of SleepyHead.

Also, a ine person sent me the link to download ResCan--will try that also.

Preferences, Appearance, Uncheck Use Pixmap Caching, that should also help.

Sreen resolution is 1024 x 768 pixels. Font size in SleepyHead is 10. The image (hope it comes thru) is just one page of what was available. There is a preview pane above where I am typing that shows the image. I am hoping to get orderly pages with graphs of several variables for the night.

That looks really weird. It could be caused by a windows Display-Per-Inch accessibility setting that's out of whack in your control panel..

Unfortunately I don't have access to a WinXP system anymore, I think I gave my last notebook with WinXP away, and my XP VM on the mac got upgraded to Win8. :/

I'll have a play with the DPI settings on my win7 notebook and see if I can replicate it.

If your seeing this on first install, there may be a bug in the Qt cross platform libraries with setting font point size.

Here is some information on the Windows DPI settings I was talking about:

http://www.microsoft.com/resources/docu ... x?mfr=true

Also, there is a "cleartype" font option that may make things clearer afterwards.

Thank you. Did the following:

1. Changed computer font from Large to Normal.
2. Turned on Clear Type.
3. Unchecked PixMap Cacbing

Enclosed is an image showing the results--thank you very much.

Image

Still have download showing Mode as BiPap--in Profile changed to APAP. The ResMed VPAP Auto machine is set to Auto with
IP max 16, EP min 5, PS 3.

There is no APAP mode on the S9 VPAP
There's cpap mode, fixed bilevel mode which is called "S" and auto bilevel mode.
There is a bug in SleepyHead with the bilevel pressure machines (both the S9 VPAP and the PR S1 BiPap) not showing the correct PS. It's being worked on now.

Yup, I only just fixed the VPAP auto stuff.. It will be in the next release.
I've still got more BiPAP/ASV stuff to do... just finding heaps of little easy things to clean up first.

BTW, VirtualBox is great for running multiple versions of Windoze, linux, etc. on one machine.

It's not exactly the same as a real PC, but you can probably see a lot of problems with it. Display problems may be a little iffy, but it's fun to play with anyway.
