OT Migraines and Allergies
OT Migraines and Allergies
Sharing this just in case someone out there might benefit from it... Met a friend for lunch that I hadn't talked with in a few years. Most of her life she's suffered from frequent and prolonged debilitating migraines, and then nearly 2 years ago suddenly began to have fainting spells. Had rounds of medical testing to no avail and continued to pass out without warning. One day her face swelled and she went to the ER thinking it was an allergic reaction. In follow-up she went to her GP's office who asked her if she remembered she's allergic to sulfa drugs and asked if she'd inadvertently taken any. She said no. He asked about using any new products, because he said he smelled sulfur on her. She thought she only had to worry about oral meds, and she had a few weeks earlier bought a new brand of scalp treatment - about the same time the fainting spells began. She began reading labels and not using anything with sulfates listed - and they were in a lot of products she was using. Turned out she was having reactions to sulfates in her hair and skin products. Hasn't had a migraine or fainting spell since - over a year and a half.

Re: OT Migraines and Allergies
Well that's another good reason to eliminate sulfates from your bodycare products!

I currently have a stash of Nasal Aire II cannulas in Small or Extra Small. Please PM me if you would like them. I'm interested in bartering for something strange and wonderful that I don't currently own. Or a Large size NAII cannula.
