So my original goggles thing was a big step in the right direction, but I still have to use the
nightime ointment for best eye protection.
Depending on how things progress, you might want to consider punctal plugs.

I had them put in in June of this year and they have been 70 to 80% effective for me. I still have to be careful not to sit under a ceiling fan or near an HVAC outlet.

The plugs are easy for the doctor to insert and it just takes a few seconds. $50 copay did it for me.

The plugs 100% solve the problem for some and are of little benefit to others. You won't know until you try them.

My opthamologist said he has many patients with dry eyes and the cause of so many has him puzzled.

Dry eye is a common side effect of Lasik correction.
I started getting a bit of dryness after I had RK, and it is a common side effect of many eye drops for glaucoma.
I have relief with artificial tears "as needed", usually first thing in the morning, or sometimes on a long dry car ride.
If only everyone's problems were as easily solved.

I long time ago when I started working a very smart man told me to never cut a hole larger than what I couldn't weld back shut, and I would do just fine. I would try and patch the hole. If your mask is leaking causing the issue why not try and stop the leak as well. Have you tried to make a liner out of an old tee shirt? I am almost two years on cpap and still have to fiddle with leak issues from time to time. I guess it comes with the territory. I wish I would have found cpap ten years ago...
