Hey Stormy! I am glad you are recovering even if you feel worse right now, at least you know why and where it is heading.

Stormy,

It's good to hear you are out of ICU. As someone else has already mentioned: If you're still feeling really crappy let your medical staff---both the docs AND the nurses know about it.

And are they planning on keeping you on the 24-7 supplemental O2 for only a short time or for an extended time?

And I'm keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Here's wishing you a speedy recovery.

New to the forum, just got around to reading this thread out of curiosity.

Very, very scary.
Glad you are going to be ok.
So happy the community here had the wisdom to give you the right advice and to scare the crap out of you.

Now is not the time, but perhaps when you're completely recovered I'll tell you about a friend of mine who didn't take this same situation as seriously as he should have.

I hope you have a speedy recovery and feel good as new very soon.

Stormy,

Are you going home alone? Can your daughter stay with you for a few days?

I'm always much better in my own environment, but you should have someone with you for a few days until you're really feeling a little more functional.

Take care!

I am home now. I will have a nurse come in for a while until I get back to more normal. Talk about a frightening ordeal. I truly believe this forum saved my life. I would have waited with my leg propped up for the swelling to go down and that would have been a fatal mistake. I had a blood clot before that was painful. This one was not. At least not at first. I thought it was just some weird fluke. The blood clot was massive and went from my knee to my belly button. It wasn't solid but they said it was like a sponge. My leg is still pretty swollen but not huge. My blood pressure was scary low. Later I will post a picture. It is still low but not like it was. I will post more when I feel a little better. Thank you all so very much. I do believe in prayer.

Whew, that was a close call Stormy. I'm so glad you are on the mend and I know, by your own testament, you never underestimated the power of prayer (ie. paying hope FORWARD).

SNO.

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

Welcome home Stormy!!!!

Now remember that nurse is there to look after you. Do not clean up the place or yourself just because she is coming. I know you laugh but I have known people who would do that. One of my ex's once said to me "Don't you have to clean up because the cleaning lady comes today?"
