Which machine provides the most recorded information
I'm trying to be more self-monitoring, as I get too many mixed interpretations from different labs.
What xPAP machine(s) would provide me with the most information during my sleep?
I have PLMD also, and low oxygen levels.
Thank you!

One very useful home machine is the Resmed S7 with a 'reslink' module.
The reslink module includes facilities for measuring pulse rate and SpO2 sat (a built in Pulse Oximeter). But, the reslink module is expensive ($960 last time I looked).
I think it works with the S8 range but I am not sure.
RG swears by the PB machines with silverlining so they are worth a look.
Most folk seem to go for the Remstar (AUTO, PRO, Bipap Pro, Bipap AUTO) and seem pretty happy with the data they get.
I can't vouch for the accuracy of the data a particular machine reports, but in essence the data is relative to an individual and thus trend data is the really useful information that many of these machines can provide.

Have you used the infor collected by your Pro 2?
Like most xPAPs, it does not monitor EEG, leg movements, or Oxygen saturation - but it collects everything the Respironics Remstars do.
You need a card reader, and software to monitor you own therapy on the Remstar Pro 2 - You might want to consider buyting them before you buy a new machine.

O,
I believe she's only got the (plain) Pro model....and consequently is looking for something that'll give her more information. (Kathleen, correct me if I'm wrong)
Kathleen,
I think either the REMstar Pro 2 model or the REMstar Auto would be my suggestions. With the Auto, it can always be run in straight CPAP mode if you choose.
Best wishes,
Den

I was going by her profile, which does say Pro 2 - I must have missed something.

O,
No, you didn't miss anything.....it's just that Kathleen and I exchanged some e-mails recently and she indicated that she had the Pro (plain).
I don't know if the plain Pro is available anymore to use in the profile.
