Internet CPAP Machine Dealers ?

Post by pratzert » Tue May 16, 2006 8:14 am

Ya, Ya, I know this is cpap.com's Message board, but before I go and hand over my $800, I want to check out the competition.

Not so much for price, as I think they are all pretty close, but mostly in terms of "Customer Service" .

How many here have bought from On-Line dealer OTHER than cpap.com?

Which ones ?

How was your buying experience and follow up with repairs or other items later on?

I want to get my machine ordered TODAY, one way or another, so I'll keep checking for responses.

Thanks for you input.

Tim

I haven't bought from anybody else, but I can tell you that CPAP.com does price match. I found the Remstar-auto $50 cheaper from another dealer and CPAP.com matched the price. I didn't even bother calling them up, just said price match in the notes area along with where the better deal was.

BTW, price matching is part of their official policy.

Bill

To be honest, Tim, I don't remember. It had CPAP in the name though - LOL. There aren't very many though, and prices continually change. Generally, that site had higher prices than CPAP.com. I think they probably had a special deal on the Remstar-auto at the time.

Bill

OK.... Thanks anyway...

I'm just going to Bite the Bullet right now and place the order then...

With cpap.com...... and hope for the best.

AND... hope I don't have to deal with "Christopher".

Tim

Tim,

I bought my first cpap equipment from a wonderful online DME. They were extremely helpful and personable.

When I got water in my machine accidently, they overnighted me a loaner, fixed my machine even though it was out of warranty, and returned my machine ----- all for FREE, FREE, FREE. I was flabbergasted.

Yes, I saved my insurance company money by purchasing my second machine from cpap.com. And my experience with them was nice until yesterday. But they were able to help me, finally, yesterday, and we got my problem solved. And yes, I am a little sorry I switched because I did feel a loyalty to the first DME. But I'm also thankful to cpap.com for supporting this forum for us, and wanted to give them some business.

You gotta really appreciate the moderators of this forum which owns cpap.com to even permit mentioning other sites.
This says lots about the confidence they have in their service and prices.

Humm, I found the price lower on another site and they wouldn't match it and told me they didn't do that. I guess I missed the part of it being their official policy. Maybe it was just the person I talked to and they didn't know the official policy. At any rate, I've purchased from cpap as well as others with lower prices for the same item.

Thanks for the info Bill, here it is for anyone interested:

Will you match the competitions price?

Yes, we will match our competitions documented price "in most cases". Please send us a link to the website you found the lower price on, the name of the product, and its price.

Like it says, in most cases. In my case, just as I stated, they would not match the price.
