Maybe you just needed a little more pressure with the Quattro to better hold the airway open. Snores are indications of either minor or major collapse of the airway tissues.
Thanks Pugsy. I'd sort of thought of that, but the high pressure setting doesn't seem to ever have been reached on that night. I'll see if I can double-check what the highest pressure was on that night with the data I downloaded yesterday.
Cheers,
Ken

The mask shown on some one else's post I believe is a Fit Life Total Face Mask from Respironics, and it does not have a double flap seal. This is also called the mask of the last resort, and some of us like it. In my case because the two sides of my face are not the same size.
Might be it is time for you to try a Vent. Meaning a Ventilator. I did not notice when you said your last overnight sleep study was?

Here is a pic from the worst event on that night with the full-face mask. It looks like I was wrong about the pressure not getting to the max (12). Though I'm not sure. There are two graphs with pressure - mask pressure and EPA Pressure. The EPA pressure shows that during this one event it did get to the max pressure. Is that correct? Thanks. I'd also be open to any insights on this particular pic and any other hints on the best way to present data pics here.
Thanks.

Re: topic number one: Try these nasal dilators, I've had some good results from them once I got used to the feeling of something in my nose. I put Lanisnoh on them before inserting in my nose. I also use a small piece of 3M NexCare multipore tape to secure them:
Thanks Sir. I'm willing to try anything at this point and had not heard of these.

You can ignore the mask pressure graph. It's just going to mimic the the other pressure line.
I may have to RISE but I refuse to SHINE.

I've had had about 10 overnight sleep studies in the past 13 years. My last one was in 2010 I think, It was a split study with the first half of the night being without any PAP. I had something like 60 events per hour during that period. Then they put the nasal mask on me and the number of events dropped to 5 per hour. I do remember, though, that I put Afrin up my nose that night too.
A ventilator - wow. I don't know. It looks like I was incorrect about whether the machine was getting to the high pressure setting when I was wearing the full-face mask. But the graph I posted above from SleepHead looks like my problem was that it WAS getting to max and could not deliver enough pressure. So I'm going to try an experiment by increasing the max pressure and testing the full face mask again.
