Mirage Swift FX -- Top Strap

Post by EZSleep » Mon Sep 09, 2013 3:09 pm

Using ResMed Escape II with Swift LT headgear and pillows for over 10 years. I like my Swift LT but I do have some problems losing the seal during the night, although I'm used to it so it's only a little annoying. The newer Swift FX mask looks good but I'm not sure about that rigid-looking, plastic, top strap.
Can I get some comments about the comfort of the FX with that plastic top strap? How does it compare in comfort to the Swift LT? Is it easily adjusted?
Does it require much time to get used to it?

I haven"t used the Mirage but the Swift FX is very comfortable. The silicone strap is very adjustable and I hardly notice it. Works for me.

Could you please clarify exactly which mask you are wondering about?

The Mirage FX or the Swift FX...2 different masks.
I used the Swift LT when I first started therapy and switched over to the Swift FX (nasal pillows like the LT) and loved it. The top strap is easily adjustable...not an issue at all.

Now if you are talking about the Mirage FX which is a nasal mask as opposed to nasal pillow mask...totally different mask with totally different top strap and I can't help you with comparing it.

I have been using the mask ( as a new user) and can't feel the forehead part of it at all.
