Wrong Name on CPAP Data Card

Post by pikov22 » Thu Sep 05, 2013 2:20 pm

I goofed! I have a data card with my Pikov Andopov name on it and one with my real name.

Somehow Pikov's info got on RealName's card! How do I restore it to the proper patient name?

Thanks.

Are you talking about in a software program like SleepyHead?

User profile names are a function of whatever software you are using.
I don't know of a file on the SD card itself that contains any patient names at all.

Once upon a time there were two folks living in the same body and sharing real life experiences. One was named Grigor Pikovich and the other, Alexander Realnamovich.

Now Grigor knew all about Alexander but Alexander didn't know about Grigor. Grigor was really into data, so when he developed sleep apnea, he wanted to track everything. He was careful and so had two CPAP machines, one for regular use and another for a backup. Grigor really, really didn't want to have to go to sleep without his beloved machine ( named Grigoranova ) and she might get sick and have to go to the rehab center.

As time went on, Grigor used Grigoranova at night while Alexander used the backup machine, Realanova, for naps during the day. But it was really important to Grigor to keep his data separate from the data for Alexander. So Grigor created two patient accounts in the Encore database, one for each of them. Things were very happy and the accounts grew and grew and everyone was happy.

Then one day, Grigor was hurried in loading the data. Now its important to note that Alexander didn't really care about data so Grigor had to do it all. On that fateful day instead of taking the cards one at a time, replacing the one before getting the other, Grigor took them both out and loaded them together. Unfortunatly he was in a hurry and loaded Alexander's data into Grigor's account and then loaded Grigor's data into Alexander's account. In his hurry, he didn't pay attention to the message assigning the cards to the other accounts.

Now he's confused since the cards are labeled to the wrong person.

Of course, Alexander is completely oblivious of all to this and takes his naps with Realanova in the afternoon and feels really good with his effective CPAP treatment.

Both Sleepyhead and Encore Basic.

Can you explain why Encore Basic says that this is not a patient's card (or words to that effect)?

How do I order some of what you're smoking?

In Sleepyhead, to change the name, go to File, Edit Profile, then next.

I am not sure about Encore basic because I don't use it.

It says "this media does not belong to this patient"...???? That's no big deal. For some reason Encore doesn't recognize that the card is assigned to that user. Go ahead and download and it will assign the card.
Sometimes if the SD card has been altered a bit Encore will not remember that the SD card is assigned to the Patient profile.

I get that message every time I use Pro and Basic because for some reason something happens during the download with either and makes the other one give me that message. Doesn't matter which software I use first..the other one will give me that message.
Just proceed with the download and things will be fine.
Either do that or stop and assign the SD card again...but downloading also assigns it so that is extra work.
