"Multiple Sleep Latency Test"

If you Google it, you'll find much to read.

Do you think maybe the couple times my machine fell in my sleep, water could have gotten into the electric fan or whatever an started shooting out burning chemicals am that's the reason I'm having a weird chemical taste in my mouth?

Or does that seem unlikely? I'm just guessing

multiple sleep latency test - it's done after a full night of sleep. They keep you awake and then every ~2 hours tell you to nap throughout the day for 15-20 mins, and they record the time it takes you to fall asleep, and the brain activity to see if you start REM. It's one of the main tests for narcolepsy and diagnosing EDS. They remove most of the stuff from the PSG, as it's not really as important to check for apnea and respiration during the MSLT - they should have enough data on that from the PSG.

The MSLT, in my understanding is pretty much torture, worse than a PSG. "Hey, sit in this room all day, but don't sleep until we tell you, then, we wake you up in the middle of your nap when you've fallen asleep, and you try not to punch us."

Why would someone without sleep apnea want to use a machine anyway?

Clears your nasal passages so you can sleep when you have a cold or allergise. (Nasal pillows probably work best in this case)

Haha okay I just dunno what that taste was.. I used it last night for the first time in 3 days and I don't rembet bet having it.

I left a voicemail At air care home medical and they never got back to me and I can't get a hold of my provider.

It's weird because I feel 10x more tired using my cpap than I do without using it. Man my body is so messed up !

Well ...
I can't ever get a hold of her
... in view of this, do you trust them with your equipment?

Have you asked a family member to closely sniff your hose (You know what I mean), your mask and your machine to see if they sense anything?

I wonder if you could have some kind of nasal or sinus problem that's not obvious until you have air being blown in at a (relatively) high pressure? Not at all unheard of.

I guess she's just so hard to get a hold of, she tells me shell be in contact with me and then it takes ages to get a hold of her and it didnt bother me at first but now it's ticking me off because its affecting me now and I'm frustrated with this unknown deep chemical smell and I'm also wakin up shaking even without the cpap and I have had neurological symptons for 4-5 years now and idk what to do. Just nonstop chronic stress I think I may try to get a third sleep study or something

do you see a neurologist? obviously, it would be good to get a sleep doc who is also a neurologist. hang in there.
