Weird chemical-ish taste in mouth with cpap

Post by KsUp » Mon Sep 02, 2013 11:32 am

I got a new tube recently and thought it was that so I washed that and everything else, only other thing it could be
Is the distilled water (but i didnt use the water humidifer and it still gives off the taste) or white filters. I had to go without my cpap in the last few days because its a heavy warm chemical taste that not only is in my mouth but my throat too. Should I call my cpap provider company? I feel were because I just left there a few days ago. Idk why this is happening I would like to send the cpap machine in to some people to take it apart or something and see whats going on. There's also nothing around me that would be giving off this harsh chemical taste either.

Idk what to do !

Any help appreciated,

P.S. I haven't been usin my cpap in the last couple days and it seems like I'm not as tired as I usually am, ???

what did you wash the new tube with? maybe something like baking soda in water or vinegar in water(not too much) would neutralize the odor.

Why don't you put your old hose back on the unit and see if the odor goes away...that way you will know if it is the hose or the machine.

See this is what frustrates me I used the old tube and it still gives off the taste slightly.

And I'm not talking about some mild taste I'm talking about the kinda taste that vibrates ur throat and mouth and taste like chemicals. Man everything seemed going okay I wish I could ditch everything and just buy a whole new machine, how much are they?

And if it was the tube, whats the worst thing it could be in you guys opinions?

And if it was the machine, whats a possibility there ?

Thank you.

That would be my suspect......the vinegar. Why are you using that?

I'd recommend just using Dawn dishwashing liquid. (the original blue version)

Den
