I assume that I did something wrong with my machine on the 27th of August as Sleepyhead is no longer able to update any info from the SD card. Tried a different card which seems to have formated properly but still no data from the 28th,29th or 30th.
Have been using cpap for about 4 weeks now and am tolerating it well enough that when we had a short 2 hr power outage late one night I was panicked because I didn't want to risk sleeping without it. Which leads to a couple of other questions
1) can one get addicted to this therapy?
2) what to do during power outages?
Respironics 560P has stopped updating to SD card
Re: Respironics 560P has stopped updating to SD card
There's not really much a person can do to the machine that will mess with its writing to the SD card.
Can you go into the SD card and look for recent files with today, yesterday and the day before date? See if they are even present on the SD card.
On the original SD card there should be 3 file types for each session. xxx.001, xxx.002 and xxx.05. The largest xxx number is the most recent.
On the SD card that wasn't the original SD card there won't be any xxx.005 file types on that card because the machine doesn't store those files on the machine. The other files are stored on the machine.
So let's see if the data is on the SD card first and if it is on the SD card we then look to Sleepyhead.
So if the files are present but SleepyHead isn't finding them......
What version of SleepyHead are you using? Did you get the older version and manually update it with the Patch file or did you get the latest version 0.9.3 right from the start?
Have you tried creating a new location to see if it will import?
Are you getting any messages as to possible reason for no data?
Have you tried creating a new user profile to see if the missing data is present with a new user.
Finally what operating system is on your computer? If Windows we can use EncoreBasic to see if the data is present on that software.
No, we don't get "addicted" to the machine but the brain does get to where it associates the machine with less stress on the body so it doesn't like to sleep without it.
Power outages....it depends on when and how long. Some people have battery backup systems for times when power is out.
If no backup power available and sleep must be obtained....some try sleeping more upright like in a recliner as a way to lessen the chance of the apnea events. Of course not perfect but it will likely help reduce some of the events or their severity.

WOW, Thank You for your prompt, detailed, thorough and effective response.
The following files are in the "p0" sub-folder on the SD card, by name, date, file type and size:

0000000001.002 8/15 002 file 15 KB

0000000077.001 9/1 001 file 1 KB
0000000077.001 9/1 002 file 2 KB
Copying the SD card to my desktop and opening it from there worked.
It’s a new download of Sleepyhead on A Win 7 machine
No error messages. (Maybe I just need to verify that Sleepyhead default is reading the card not and not an old desktop file)

Re: Respironics 560P has stopped updating to SD card
What version of SleepyHead is showing in the upper left corner of SH when opened?
The P0 Folder....is there only one xxx.002 file and the rest xxx.001 files? Is this the original SD card? Is this the complete list of files?
Can you confirm which model number is showing on the bottom of the blower unit?
Are you saying that SleepyHead is now working and you have data where you didn't before?

SleepyHead v0.9.3-0
There was a transcription error on my part in my post, the 2nd file for each date is an xxx.002 file.
Original Card, says 560P on bottom of Blower.

This should be the file for last night. So it appears the machine is indeed writing to the SD card.Guest wrote:0000000077.001 9/1 001 file 1 KB

Do you have SleepyHead data for last night?

Yes I now have last nights data. Saving the SD to the desktop and opening it from there per your suggestion worked.
