I apologize if this has been asked and answered before. First a little background info. I went for my one year followup appointment yesterday. I asked the doctor if I could try the adjustable pressure - I believe it's called apap. Since I have an Auto set 9, he said they could set the machine up for that, and I'd try it for a month and then come back and they'd interpret the results. They set the machine for pressures between 8 and 20. I tried it last night, and slept fine. It seemed like I was breathing easier too. Anyway, I was anxious to see my graph today in Sleepyhead. Well, I don't see a pressure graph at all. Where'd it go? I also loaded the sim card into the Resmed site, and in the pressure graph, just saw two lines; one red, one blue. Both were straight, but the blue line was above the red line. ?
Feeling like a dummy since I found out nothing. Can anyone shed some light on this, and tell me what to do. I'd like to see how my pressure changed during the night last night. Also, I noticed that the EPR now says none. I had it set to 3 before, when I was on straight CPAP. Is this a normal thing for APAP, to have it set to none? If you're wondering why I wanted to try APAP, it's because I slept very little at my sleep study, and not at all on my back. So, I wondered if the pressure they sent me home with was totally conclusive. Thanks in advance for your help. This forum is great. I used it faithfully before and after I began CPAP therapy. It helped me so much. My sleep doctor congratulated me for getting 100% on my compliance. I told him it was easy, since I knew if I didn't use it, I'd stop breathing!
He then asked me how many tests could I say I ever got 100% on - to which I replied, not many.

Re: Sleepyhead graph questions
It sounds to me that the unit is still set at CPAP. The top straight line would be the pressure setting and the lower line would be the EPR. (2 or 3 less than the pressure setting). EPR is an option for CPAP or APAP.

Re: Sleepyhead graph questions
It would help if we could see the SleepyHead detailed report that you are looking at.
Don't know how to post an image of your report? Explained here with examples.

Also in SleepyHead go to Preferences and then the graph tab and make sure that the check mark is showing in the little box for pressure. While you are there turn off the AHI and Mask pressure graphs...then get us a screen shot.

Re: Sleepyhead graph questions
Thanks for your help! Turns out that I was looking at the wrong day on the ResMed site. And, Pugsy, your advice about preferences and checking the pressure box worked like a charm! Thanks. Got my info. Now I just have to figure out how to do the screen shot posts. Haven't mastered that one yet.
