Got my machine Monday, so last night should have been my 4th night. But I got up at 4:45 due to aerophagia. After letting that subside a bit, I realized I should go back to sleep for another hour, so I did. When I woke up, I noticed that my "Days > 4 hrs" counter is at 3. I'm guessing that it replaced the 8+ hours of sleep I got prior to 4:45am with the 1 hour I got after that time, and so didn't count it.
Is this a known issue? I suppose it isn't likely to be an ongoing problem, since I have no intention of sleeping without my machine from this day forward-- it works, I can sleep well with it on, and my AHI is 0.7. I suppose if it happens another time or two I'll take it back just to be sure the DME actually knows (and believes) I'm wearing it at the end of the compliance period.

Re: Compliance counter lost a night
The on screen data only gets updated at Noon GMT. So you may have looked at it prior to the update or if enough time past between the wake up and the going back to bed..the going back to bed gets counted as a separate session and may be included on tonight's data due to whenever the GMT noon change is.
It will all even out in the long run though.
So it depends on where you live and your time zone in relation to GMT time zone.

The LCD data is for the period noon GMT to noon GMT. From your user name, I'm assuming that you are in Iowa, and hence in the Central time zone and you're still observing Daylight savings time. US Central Daylight Savings time is -5:00 GMT. So noon GMT is 7:00 AM in Iowa.
So the 24-hour "day" your machine's LCD runs from 7:00 AM local time to 7:00 AM local time---provided the clock was accurately set at the factory. (My BiPAP's time is now off by 21 minutes for example and there is no way to reset the clock even from the clinical menu.)
The most likely cause of the problem you report is that some of the sleep on the last "night" occurred after before or after noon GMT and hence the night's sleep is broken across two of the 24-hour periods on the LCD. The data will display correctly in Encore Pro (and SleepyHead), and since the compliance report for the insurance will be created in Encore, you don't need to worry about this discrepancy on the machine's LCD.

Thanks for the informative replies.
I wonder if the DMEs and doctors know how many unnecessary phone calls groups like this prevent? I probably would have called about it without the info you provided. So thanks.

It's very likely that even if you HAD called your doctor or the DME they wouldn't know the answer. We know more than they about the machines. We are the experts in our care.I wonder if the DMEs and doctors know how many unnecessary phone calls groups like this prevent? I probably would have called about it without the info you provided.
