where is my Flow rate Graph
where is my Flow rate Graph
I have a Respironics machine. My daily graphs in SH are Event Flags, AHI, Pressure, Leak & Snore but not Flow Rate. Do I need it? What will it tell me? How do I get it to show up in my reports? Thank you everyone for helping me figure all this out.

Hi Meggie,
It would help if you showed your equipment list, then those who can help will have the information to help.
I understand that not all Respironics machines record the flow data.
Welcome to the list.

Re: where is my Flow rate Graph
The Flow Rate graph in SleepyHead will go absent if the SD card was not in the PR S1 machine properly all night.
You can go into the SD card and look in the folder that is the P serial number folder for a P0 folder...look for the most recent file that is the file type xxx.005 which is the flow rate graph. If there isn't one...it didn't get written to the SD card. If it's there then maybe there's a problem within the file and SH can't read it..minor corrupted file.
Also make sure that the Flow rate graph didn't accidentally get turned off...go to Preferences/Graphs and make sure there is a check mark by the Flow rate graph.

Re: where is my Flow rate Graph
I have just downloaded my data for the first time. The instructions that came with the SD card were to insert the card and then remove it as soon as the data was written, which I did. I then immediately loaded the data into SH and did not reinsert the card. Are you saying that I should leave the card in the machine all the time? thanks, you are so helpful. . .

Re: where is my Flow rate Graph
Yes, leave the SD card in the machine all the time...especially at night if you want flow rate graphs.
I think those instructions are likely tied into the Respironics web based data gathering and flow rate graphs are not part of that data reporting.
Flow rate files are extremely large and the PR S1 machine doesn't store them on its internal memory. They are written directly to the SD card while the machine is in use.
Now the other data that is collected by the machine is stored in its internal memory for about a month before it gets written over but the flow rate graph files aren't stored at all.
Leave the SD card in the machine at all times except for when you are importing to your software and you won't lose the flow rate graphs unless there is a minor bug in the file (and that has been known to happen on occasion but not often).
