New to C-Flex
New to C-Flex
Last night was my first night to have a trial of the C-Flex REMstar/auto . I have to use it for 3 days then return it to the company for analysis of my 3 nights. I slept really good last night and cannot wait to get the prescription to get my own . After I get the prescription I have to contact my Insurance company to see what percentage they pay .
Maybe this is the wrong place to ask BUT ...
Does anyone know of a company in Canada to order from and the 'About' running price of these machines?
If it's too high can I order the machine through another company through this web page and use my prescription?
I'll have lots of questions in the near future so any help would be appreciated ..
Thanks Tdinova

hello and welcome, i'm a noobie too, lol. i think i saw it here on cpap.com for about 725 or so, don't quote me though, and you should be able to buy it outright if you have the prescription in hand, dunno about the canadian sources, i'm sure someone will chime in. my insurance does the rent to own deal so i just went ahead and got mine through the dme, it works great,
EDIT: i just realized you can click the picture of my machine and it will show it to you on cpap.com, mine is also a remstar auto with c-flex, and it is 725.99.

Hello Tdinova. I'm from Ontario, Canada. Each province has it's own health care plan and in Ontario it's called OHIP (Ontario Hospital Insurance Plan). I can only speak for Ontario. Here the price for a CPAP or APAP unit cannot exceed $1040. This includes a basic mask. The ADP (Assistive Devices Program) which is a group under OHIP will pay up to 75% of the cost of one of these devices or a total of $780 ($1040 x 75%) leaving me or my insurance company to pick up the remaining $260. Of course you are restricted to buying the unit from a supplier here in Ontario. Some suppliers will try to sell the Auto's at higher price because they don't make as much money from them. This is just plain wrong. My auto cost the full $1040, ADP paid $780 and the insurance company paid the remainder of $260. Let us know what province you are from.
Thanks for the reply . I'm from Nova Scotia . I have to return my loaner tomorrow and she will asess my need and get back to me . She says all the units are $1800 ..yes 1800 . I never heard of this type of equipment so she maybe over charging . I do like the system and the sleep I'm getting . I have a medical plan and I have to find out what coverage they pay.

haha, 1800, you should point her to the online prices, they have got to be tacking on an extra 1100, you could even print it out and leave it on her desk on your way out the door.
