I had considered purchasing a similar product from the vendor; but, due to cost alone,
(not this discussion) I will probably consult with my engineer friend and order the necessary parts from Hobby King.

Wildstar,Guest wrote:Thanks for your patience everyone. Recently lost a close family member and have not been as quick on the emailing as I would like to. Last email from them said it basically had to have zero fingerprints and in pristine condition. Someone has a bone to pick with an assertive customer I guess. Even though I haven't used it I did take it out of its package.
They want to charge me shipping to return it and a restock of 10 percent. Can you believe that?
First of all, I'm very sorry to hear of the loss of your family member.
I talked your issue over with my manager again, and he is now agreeing to allow you to send the battery back to us with no restocking fee. Please ensure that all of the cables, adapter tips, and battery charger are in place. We would much prefer to take a loss on the battery than to have a dissatisfied customer out there. I'm sorry that you still feel that we misrepresented our product - I did go out of my way to try to provide ample documentation to show that these batteries are in fact Lithium Polymer batteries, and not some "knock off" battery, and I think that I have at least accomplished that goal. In spite of what you may feel, we have no "bone to pick" with you - rather, we have a business to run just like the proprietor of this forum, and when a product we are selling is misrepresented in a public forum, we feel like we need to take the time to clarify the situation. In the spirit of improving the shopping experience of other customers who may be interested in this battery, we have added a link to the MSDS for the battery that shows the chemical makeup. Hopefully that will help to prevent any future confusion with this product.
I wish you the best of luck in your quest for a CPAP battery solution that fits your needs.

Good catch on the MSDS!
Most folks don't know about them or the federal regulations requiring them to be accurate.
Checking food additives on MSDS may kill your appetite--just saying.

Re: CPAP Battery Knockoff?
I have had my battery die out on me outside the warranty period. Bestcpapprice offered a replacement at cost, that's about it. Seems to be a bad cell, because the output voltage remains low and the low battery warning is constant no matter how long I charge it. I just found it like this (with the low battery warning on) and I though it was odd since the battery normally holds a charge for much longer. By much longer, I mean that it normally takes several months to loose one light. Last time I used it about 2 months ago, what I do is put it away with 2-3 lights on it. Two months ago, 3 lights, and I took it out again and it was flashing red. This is very disappointing since I only used this battery mostly when there were two power outages in my area, and just occasional checking-on-it.
The battery is about two years old, with light use. Once would expect a $300 Li-po battery would last longer than that. I have been offered a replacement at cost, about $200. I'm not ready to accept that yet, as that is still expensive for what I'm getting out of it, and that there may be more options available, such as repair, for which I have not been offered yet or gotten into.
I would hope Bestcpapprice would make good on it's customers. Based on this thread, and my experience, Bestcpapprice avoids loosing a dollar until pressured by forum posts and social media. How about repair, or a replacement at $100 (half wholesale), eat the loss, and get on Owell's case out compensation and quality, or drop their products if they're costing you. I would hope Bestcpapprice would not take the route of making the warranty just short enough so they can get out of warranty replacements. I know it is out of "warranty" and the battery is two years old, I'm not such a tight-wad, so I am willing compromise, such as repair or replacement at less than wholesale. Think batteries and tires - they often have an extended warranty period where you get a replacement at reduced cost. These Li-po batteries should be warranted out to 5 years, honestly. So the costomer is at least given a compromise after one year, instead of being left with an expensive paperweight. $200 is not a compromise since Bestcpapprice would not loose a dollar, or Owell is not compensating.
* I tried emailing Owell without success. They tell my how to charge the battery by putting current into the output port, without success - they've stopped responding to my emails. Owell huh?
* Bestcpapprice has not posted my negative reviews on the battery.

Re: CPAP Battery Knockoff?
You bought the battery knowing what the warranty was, and now it's died, outside the warranty period, and the vendor has offered you a replacement at their cost and that's still not good enough?
You do realize that they owe you absolutely nothing? I'd say that they went above and beyond by offering you a replacement at their cost.
Oh, and if they sell it to you at their cost, they do lose money because of the overhead, handling and storage of the unit that they have incurred that you're not paying for.
I say put on your big boy underwear, pay the $200 and thank them for being so nice about it.
P.S. I have never dealt with, nor am I associated in any way with the aforementioned companies.
