Sleepyhead graph size

Post by Noddyman » Wed Aug 14, 2013 8:08 pm

Hi all,

just wondering if there is something I am missing with regards to Sleepyhead graph value settings. I'm running 0.9.3-0, and I think this also happened with the previous version, but there is possibly a bit of brain fade about that!

I have set my preferred min/max values for the Daily Graphs I use into Preferences, yet when I shift through each day, the program still adjusts the Y values to any maximums in the data. This can make for very flat graphs at times, if I have had a big sneeze or there has been some other aliens event (thankyou, Pugsy!) that puts a large value into otherwise normal data.

Once again, I really appreciate JMark's and others' work to let us have this wonderful program, but I've played with this a bit and I can't get rid of it, so perhaps it is a bug in that a large data amount overrules the settings?

cheers and happy snoozing,

Nods

Could you possibly post a screenshot of with arrows (MS-Paint/whatever) pointing at what you mean. I'm a little slow picturing things lately..

Also, what version are you using?

/Mark

Hopefully this will explain it better. Sorry I've lost a bit of detail in the compression, but hopefully it is clear enough.

cheers,

Nods

Thanks for that.. I get you now.

The Y-axis autoscaler sometimes has a mind of it's own when the graph min & max values are set.. I can't remember exactly why I made it use those values as a guide rather than a raw setting, there must of been some crazy reason for it.. I'll know soon when I work up the courage to delve into that section again.

It should probably be using a higher percentile of the data set for ResMed data, because they tend to have a lot of cruft and spikes, particularly to do with pressure.

I just noticed it doesn't update the y-scale when I set those values either, but it does change the scale of the drawn graph. Yet another Bug. :-}

Me thinks foggy programmers should be banned from writing graphing code!
