Leak Alarm

Post by Bill44133 » Tue Aug 13, 2013 8:48 pm

I have been searching(unsuccessfully) this site to figure out if my machine(PR System One 60 Series) has an alarm for large leaks.
I have been losing 2 hours a night in Large Leak. Lots of times the hose falls off the mask or the mask slides up my face.
If some one could tell me if the alarm is on this machine, and how to turn it on. I am work to try to plug up my leaks.

If any one could please assist it would be much appreciated.

Yes, there is a setting in the menu to turn on/off the "Leak Alert"....if it is "On" and the mask comes off or develops a large leak after about 30 seconds the machine will start beeping and if you don't have Auto Off set to Off...it will continue beeping till you wake up and do something about it.
Only problem is that the beeping isn't very loud and it's fairly easy to sleep through the beeping.

It's a setting in the clinical setup menu...do you know how to get into that area?
Turn round knob to "Setup" box right lower...hold down the round knob and the ramp button at the same time for about 10 seconds till you here a beep (BTW that's how loud the leak alert beep is) and then it kicks you back to Therapy box...just turn the know back to setup and push the round button to get into the menu and find the leak alert setting.

Perhaps you could adapt this optional claxon as a useful addition to your CPAP large leak alarm.

This would be one of those ideal things to put on an app to alert on on-duty nurse, family member or patient advocate.
