Hmm, we need a flow chart for all the situations that people have posted about.

When I clicked on the link in the email, I got a message from cpaptalk saying the message does not exist. But when I logged on normally and searched for the thread, I found it. Hmmmm.
Since we're talking about computer safety and security...

Be REALLY careful with email links. It wouldn't be hard for a hacker to send an email that LOOKS like it is from CPAPTALK.COM but really isn't, and when you click the link, it might ask you to log on, or deliver a nasty bit of malware, etc.

I know ... CPAPTALK.COM is a relatively small environment, not like a bank that is the typical target of this kind of attack, but it's better to develop safe habits.

Thanks for the informaion. Taping the "User Control Panel" link at the top left of the page did yeild and continues to yeild the posted error page.

My info:

URL: https://www.cpaptalk.com/ucp.php?

Browser: Firefox 23

OS: Linux Ubuntu 12.04 (precise) 64 bit

todzo@todzo-ssd64UBU1204:~$ uname -a
Linux todzo-ssd64UBU1204 3.5.0-37-generic #58~precise1-Ubuntu SMP Wed Jul 10 17:48:11 UTC 2013 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Desktop: GNOME 3.4.2 (unity)

Updates found current except two regarding OS version reporting. I did note in the last set of updates some regarding secure socket layer stuff.

I believe what were having with FireFox 23 is a security certificate problem at Cpaptalks end. Firefox is not recognizing there certificate. An error occurred during a connection to http://www.cpaptalk.com.

The OCSP server has no status for the certificate.

(Error code: sec_error_ocsp_unknown_cert)

How do you do that? I couldn't find a way to contact anyone in charge. That is why I started this thread.

Looks like john.nelson seems to be the webmaster support for CPAP, my guess. Sometimes when I have issues like this I clear my Internet cache files.
