Personally, I can't imagine using a soap that doesn't "degrease" a CPAP item (mask and mask parts in particular).
My headgear and strap covers get thrown in with a load of laundry with "ALL" laundry soap.

I can't find the old-fashioned "plain" Dawn anywhere. Everything seems to be the "Ultra" variety. Is this what all of you are using now?
Yeah, the (blue) Ultra Concentrated - Original Scent / Fragrance.
I also use "Great Value" (Walmart) of the same type (probably made by P&G and packaged for WM)......comes in a larger container and is cheaper.

Old Dude---this comment just made it dawn on me: What do you do each night with your
face before you put the mask on???
Maybe some of your leak problems have to do with facial care rather than mask care.
Good question Robysue. Up until last night I have been using a very hot washcloth (no soap) to scrub down the area where the mask seals on my face. Last night I actually washed my whole face with soap and warm water.
