old thread I know - does anyone know if these codes are still valid for the 60 series machines?

only reason I ask is the other night it looks like my machine generated 9 error files. Looking at them in a Hex reader I see that the 17 digit (starting with 1 and counting) was always 41 hex

Hi pbriggs,

Yes, the codes seem the same for both 50 and 60 series (well... some of the codes might just be for 60 series and never show on 50 series, because 60 series has an error message in case the wrong power supply is tried with heated hose and that scenario wasn't an option for the original machines).

So 41 hex translates to 65 decimal, which shows on the list as a stuck encoder error. I believe my machine would beep at me if the SD card was not put back into the slot just right, and the machine would generate a stuck encoder error. Perhaps taking it out and putting it back in would work if it is something that simple. Do you have any gaps in your data for the date (or night before) that the error codes have as a time stamp? Do you remember your machine beeping when you put your card back in?

Hello SleepyCPAP

I don't recall any beeping as I typically put the card back into the machine in the morning when I finish in sleepyhead. I will have to pay more attention tonight as the card has been out all day in my computer. If it beeped at night there is no way it would ever wake me up. Once I fall asleep I might as well be dead to noise as typically nothing will wake me. The data is sleepyhead all looks good too for that day and actually every day. Never noticed a problem other than when I was in Germany back in December and it split the data into 2 files that I could never really open.

The interesting thing is that the file times start at 3:33pm and run 3:46, 3:50, 4:14, 6:16, 7:44, 8:29, 9:18 and 10:18pm all on 3-2-2014. In sleepyhead it shows my sleep time as 22:58, so well after all the errors are recorded and the data looks good for that night. Does the machine record a different time?

Looking at last nights files I see that the file was saved at 1:11pm when I actually shut the machine off at 8:51am according to sleepyhead. Slept in this morning for sure. Then can I say that the time on the machine is different than my actual time by 4:20. I thought perhaps the machine time was GMT, but I am in eastern time zone, so GMT-5... So 4:20 is a bit strange for me.

The the actual times would be 3:33pm-4:20 = 11:13AM if my math is correct - so this would have been when the machine was just sitting in the room by its self (LOL). Even the later time is 10:18pm - 4:20 = 5:58PM, the machine was still home alone.

In the morning I turn the machine off, make my bed and then take the data card out to bring into sleepyhead. So there is only a few minutes difference between my machine off time and the time I remove the card. Most strange if you ask me.

Paul

Yesterday the card was out of the machine all day. When I installed it at night there was no errors on the screen. This morning there are no new error files either. Perhaps it was just a day where the card was not installed right for some reason. I will pay more attention each morning when I put the card back and see. - Thanks!

Thanks for the great thread. I've been having beep problems (like John Fisher has) for a month or so. It's one beep and happens when I tend to be falling asleep. I suspect from reading other threads that it's a 'low pressure alert alarm', which one can't turn off via the clinician's menu, or so I'm told. Anyway, it happened four times last night and is very annoying. I got the .004 error file from my SD card and dumped it to hex (at which I have very little skill):

Image

Do any of you have any idea if I'm right in assuming the villain is a low pressure alert alarm... I didn't see it on the list of error codes above, but they're using proprietary PR tech-speak, so my observation probably doesn't mean much. This beep is driving me crazy and any help is appreciated. SNO

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

Hi pbriggs and Sir NoddinOff,

I'm glad this thread is appreciated or at least entertaining.

pbriggs, it is good you are not getting the errors again. Even if you did, the error is listed as a "continue" error so the machine just keeps going.

Sir NoddinOff, the hex code you provided tells us you have a similar error:
the error corresponds to the session recorded in regular file 00000358.001 (and .002 and .005) and if my date calculations are right (sorry, sometimes they are not) the time stamp is Mar 9, 2014 7:11:09 PM, and the hex 42 error in decimal is 66 "STUCK ENCODER B". Again that is a "continue" error so the machine does not stop. My guess is the low pressure alarm is just something else going on.

I would like to know how to fix e-codes... If I just turn the machine on it comes up with e-23 and beeps and if I push the button below the heat and the two arrows and turn the machine back on it come up with e-3 but with either e-codes nothing works, and the lights flash and beeps..

The machine is a C-Flex. Remstar/pro with a smart card
I had it given to me and was told it did work... Can anyone help me,as I've just been diagnosed with severe sleep ap and don't have much money.

I suggest you post again in a new thread - the title of this one won't get you the help you want (diff. machine for one thing).

Hi JDS74,

The list you posted is for one of the pre-PRS1 machines, as it references "smartcards". Still useful for folks who have machines from a decade ago.
